Body and movement specialist

I am a dancer, choreographer, dance teacher and I am certified in Perceptive Pedagogy/Danis Bois Method.

I am originally from Argentina, grew up in Costa Rica and have been living and working in Berlin for 22 years. I speak German, Spanish, English and French fluently and I have two children.

All my adult life I have been concerned about art, body and movement: my own body and the body(s) in space and time. I am interested in how the bodies "speak", what the bodies "store", what the bodies tell.

I graduated in stage/contemporary dance at the Folkwang University of the Arts.

I have been working as a performer, choreographer and dance teacher in the independent scene for 22 years.

I teach dance for children with and without disabilities in schools in Berlin since many years. I have also worked with refugee children and learned how trauma can change/shape the body.

I completed the training in Perceptive Pedagogy in Berlin between 2017 and 2021.

My focus shifted to the relationship to my own body, to myself and to others, as well as to perception itself. This work produced a profound change in myself. I've learned to listen to myself and to my body, I've found myself (back), I've developed a sense of existence.

I would like to pass on the well-being in the body and in the self that I have experienced myself through this Method.

I offer one-to-one sessions as well as movement groups that help expand the perception and to experience one's own body and oneself differently/newly. In the process, physical pain may be relieved and immobilities or blockages may be brought back into motion. One's own healing force awakens and together we find ways that may lead to growth and autonomy.

Important: This work doesn't replace in any way the visit to a doctor or a therapist. If you have any health problems, please consult with a doctor or a therapist always.

Perceptive pedagogy and fascia work

How do I work?

  • I offer a protected space and time in a save and pleasant atmosphere.

  • During the session I will explain what I am doing and ask you questions about how/what do you feel or perceive. I will be always approachable, open and respectful. You should feel comfortable and free. A dialogue develops between your body  and my hands, a dialogue between you and me.

  • I work at eye level. I receive you as a person, not only as a body.

What is the fascia?

Fascia is connective tissue. There are several uninterrupted fascial systems that extend from head to toe and from the outside to the inside, enveloping all anatomical structures (organs and groups of organs, nerves, vessels, muscles, groups of muscles , bones, etc.).

Fascia tissue is very different and adaptable in their shape, structure and composition. They connect and hold organs and systems together and convey information within the body.

Fascia reacts extremely sensitively to emotions and stress: it can cramp, condense, and lose the ability to move and slide.

With hands-on-work and movement according to the Danis Bois Method, we are able to support the fascia in dissolving blockages and impediments and regaining the physiological balance. This may result in pain relief, well-being in one's own body and the activation of one's own life and healing force.

The Danis Bois method

The Danis Bois method is based on four "pillars": hands-on-work, movement, meditation and conversation. It proposes a training of the perception and invites to find ways that may lead to self-healing (both physical ailments and psychological malaise), growth and autonomy.

"Natalia is particularly mindful and sensitive and with her appreciative, warm-hearted and completely non-intrusive  manner creates a safe and trusting space to engage with yourself and enter a healing process. I always feel well taken care of, supported, seen and mindfully cared for. After  a treatment I am full of energy and in harmony with myself."
